  • Rodeos, cowboys....and dirt

    Polly Taylor|Jul 2, 2015

It was a beautiful but dusty evening at the Double Bar G Rodeo Friday night. Someone forgot to spray water over the floor of the arena, and it didn't take much to create big clouds of dust. By the time it was over a lot of people wanted to do nothing more than stand under a shower and rinse the dirt off. This writer was feeling the grit between her teeth, and scrubbing dirt off her camera and bad, and from places she never expected to find the annoying stuff. This week wasn't a good one for...

  • Bulls take center stage at Friday night rodeo

    Polly Taylor|Jun 18, 2015

It doesn't matter how hard a rider tries to stay on a bull or a steer, if he doesn't want you on his back you're going to go, and with the bulls and steers at the Double Bar G Rodeo Friday night in Pine Bluffs, they knew exactly how to get what they want. The animals at Friday night's event put on quite a show, once rid of their riders, running back and forth, howling their displeasure, and even charging those standing outside the fence on occasion. About the only thing they didn't do was dance...
