    The Hornets football team almost had the perfect season. Except for a single loss to Lingle/Ft Laramie the Hornets won every football game that they played.     Jessica Hoffman, the hard hitting and blocking specialist on the Lady Hornets volleyball team has been awarded WHSAA All-State Honors. This is the second year in a row for the hard hitter to receive such honors. Last year Hoffman was one of the hard hitters that the Lady Hornets had that helped them to make it to the State Finals and one of the reasons that they finished fourth in the state.     After a successful season the Lady Hornets took fourth in the State Tournament. The girls wound up with a 25-9 seasonal record, one of the best in the conference.     Kaitlynn Schnell, a junior at Pine Bluffs High School, swims for the Cheyenne South swimming team. Schnell, who swims the 50m and 100-yard freestyle took first place in both races qualifying herself for the state tournament this weekend. Pine Bluffs High School does not have the facilities for a swim team so Schnell travels into Cheyenne to compete with the Cheyenne South Bison swim team.     Hornets football has been powerful all season. Last Friday the team ended their regular season with a resounding win against the Southeast Cyclones.     The Pine Bowl has been a staple of the Pine Bluffs community since 1962. Over the past several years Jim Zitek has been slowly refurbishing and upgrading the bowling alley to bring it into the 21st century. Last week one of the final parts of the alley was installed.
