The Hornets track and field team took to the blacktop and headed north to the Wyoming State 2A Track and Field Championship meet last weekend. The Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) and the Special Olympics have partnered with each other and last weekend their vision came to fruition with the first ever State Unified Sports Championships. The event took place at the state meet and featured some of the special Olympic athletes and some other athletes competing in events in a state meet. The athletes competed in five different events. The Burns Broncs boys track and field team accumulated 80 points at the state meet to take home the silver medal in the Wyoming State 2A Track and Field meet last weekend. The Pine Bluffs Clay Target shooting team took a trot east to Kimball, Nebraska to shoot in a fun match against the Kimball team. It was not a school competition but a fun shoot to let the kids shoot in a different environment.
