The team did very will against the teams of Big Horn, Tongue River, Sundance and Wright. It would be a genuine test of the depth of the team as they would be playing without one of the starters. The Burns/Pine Bluffs wrestling team competed in the Shane Shatto Memorial Tournament in Douglas, Wyoming on the 5th and 6th of January 2023. This is one of the largest tournaments in the area with almost 30 teams competing. Teams came from Cheyenne, Wheatland, Thermopolis, Sheridan and Thunder Basin. Recently, Burns resident Caysen Ross a junior high wrestler traveled to Gillette, Wyoming to compete in the Wyoming Middle School State Championship. He does not wrestle for Burns school but as an independent. Ross wrestles in the 115lb weight class and does very well.
