This would be a non-conference match-up and would give the Lady Hornets some more experience before they face the in-conference teams.     The Pine Bluffs Hornets boy's varsity basketball team traveled north to Tongue River to play in the 2A tournament. The team did very will against the teams of Big Horn, Tongue River, Sundance and Wright. It would be a genuine test of the depth of the team as they would be playing without one of the starters.     The Burns/Pine Bluffs wrestling team competed in the Shane Shatto Memorial Tournament in Douglas, Wyoming on the 5th and 6th of January 2023. This is one of the largest tournaments in the area with almost 30 teams competing. Teams came from Cheyenne, Wheatland, Thermopolis, Sheridan and Thunder Basin. In the first game of the tournament Daljit Kaur set a new school record in the Broncs win over the Tongue River Eagles.     Recently, Burns resident Caysen Ross a junior high wrestler traveled to Gillette, Wyoming to compete in the Wyoming Middle School State Championship. He does not wrestle for Burns school but as an independent. Ross wrestles in the 115lb weight class and does very well.
