Local schools benefit from reevaluation of PAWS results

Earlier in the school year the results from the PAWS 2012 tests were released, and showed 96 schools in Wyoming did not make AYP. Burns and Pine Bluffs elementary were two of those schools.

The Wyoming Department of Education reviewed the results for the year due to some discrepancies found in the results. Sue Stevens, Pine Bluffs elementary principal, said after the state reevaluated the PAWS tests, Pine Bluffs met the AYP for math and reading in 2012. Burns Elementary met the math AYP after the results were reviewed.
