American Legion Auxiliary Unit 21 received its charter Monday night. Presenting the charter were department president Joyce Menke and District 6 president Shirley McCandish and past district president Christina Smith. The unit met its first year goal for membership and received a banner and certificate. A unit must have 10 members and Unit 21 has 18 junior and senior members on its rolls. To become a member women must be related by blood to a former or current U.S. military service member and that service member must have served during an eligible service time ranging from World War I to the Persian Gulf War.
