Grants awarded to to area recreation programs

Laramie County School District No. 2 recreation board met Monday evening in Albin to review the applications they received for grants.

After electing new officers for the year and reviewing the financial report, the board focused on nine applications for funding.

Board member Todd Fornstrom asked what the board was looking for when approving grants. “Is it facility or things needed each year,” asked Fornstrom.

“I don’t like paying for t-shirts, but that is my personal opinion,” said board chairman Tom Morgan. “I don’t think the grants should pay for salaries or stipends either.”
