Living in a small town provides one with some unadvertised benefits. I suppose to some they could be a hindrance, but, I would wager, in the right light, all would see it as a benefit.
What benefit? Lack of anonymity. Meaning, everyone knows who you are and who your kids are and on and on.
When I lived in Concordia, Kan., they didn’t ask me where I came from, instead they asked who I belonged to. This befuddled me as I was an adult at the time.
