The pin speck on the globe that is Boston came under attack this week and people across the handprint that comprises the United States on that globe were instantly banded by both the horror of the event and the need to help.
Why?
Because that is how we are made. People from all over the globe were in Boston for the annual Patriot’s Day running of the Boston Marathon. Eagerly cheering on the runners crossing the finish line, the fans, athletes, volunteers and emergency services workers were stunned by not one, but two explosions in fairly quick succession.
