Cheyenne Matthews was not just racing against the top women’s class contenders last Sunday, she was also pitted against Mother Nature. The latest race day, held at the Archer Complex in Cheyenne, provided sheeting downpours, lightning, a bit of hail, and winds that sent several race canopies into the facilities dumpsters after being ripped to shreds.
The first motto of the day saw fair and hot conditions and Matthews grabbed the whole shot and led the race for two laps before going down on an overly watered corner. She lost the first position in that mishap as well as sustaining several bruise...
