Pawnee loses to Peetz

Pawnee Coyotes traveled to Peetz Dec. 13 and lost 58-36.

Coach Tim Brunelle said his team played well in the first half of the game.

“Our defense was tough, we were smart handling the ball, and had a tie game going into halftime,” he said.

But in the third quarter, Burnelle said the Coyotes gave up opportunities and had too many turnovers.

“We gave up a couple of threes early, then started turning the ball over, and Peetz capitalized on those mistakes,” he said. “If we will play like we did in the first half for an entire game, we are a good team. But playing that way for only a half isn’t enough, so we have to keep working to sustain that level of play. I like our intensity and effort, we just need to shoot with more confidence and take care of the ball on each possession.”
