5 or 4.5?: School board explores 4.5-day school week and longer school days

Teachers, students and parents will have an opportunity to be heard and talk about a four-and-a-half-day school week Feb. 5 at Burns High School.

Superintendent Jack Cozort and the Laramie County School District 2 Board of Trustees reviewed a 2014/15 school calendar Jan. 13, which shows what a 4.5 school week might look like for the district.

The proposed change would allow students in all LCSD2 schools to leave 1 p.m. on several Fridays in the school year.
