For the special this week at the Hereford Community Church Carol Opdycke sang “You’ll Never Walk Alone” accompanied by Joyce Smock on the piano.
The sermon topic was John 6:37 “Everything and everyone that the Father has given me will come to me, and I won’t turn any of them away.” Pastor Opdycke talked about several people who came to Christ after finding that verse, including Charlotte Elliot, who wrote “Just As I Am”
How do you come to Christ? C - confess your sins, O - open the door of your heart, M - meet the Master, E - eternal life is waiting for you.
Next week the sermon topic will be “Winning the Race”. Coming up on Feb. 9 there will be a potluck dinner after the service and the film “Last Ounce Of Courage” will be shown.
