Serving all of Eastern Laramie County since 1908
I have decided that Mother Nature needs a vacation. We have 21 degrees as a high one day, two days later it is close to 50, and the next day in the low 30s. Really? very little moisture/none. And so much wind that if we have moisture we wouldn’t even know it. Hummph!
We need to skip February and have spring and lots of rain. Until then, I guess I will just do like the rest of you, accept it and hang on until it changes for the better. I won’t even mention the tumble weeds. So, here is hoping that all of you parents of basketball players had somewhat of a little break from all of the traveling this past week and are rested up and ready for the last week of January. MAC Band Clinic was all day Monday at Leyton and High Plains Music in Chadron will go through Feb. 2-4, all day, everyday.
Speech practice continues, as well as Math Counts. Friday we have varsity basketball here at home verses the Potter-Dix Coyotes. The games will begin at 3 p.m. The teams will travel the next day Saturday to Morrill for competion which will begin at 2 p.m. On Saturday. The varsity wrestling team will have a meet in Mitchell. They will begin at 8:30 a.m. We have the junior high basketball boys ONLY traveling to Scottsbluff, Feb. 4. Feb. 5, FFA students will head to Gordan for the District Contest, and the junior high basketball team will play here at 1 p.m. against Creek Valley. Other than that not much is going on. Good luck to all and safe travel!

The movie takes place in 1986, and is about an electrician who is diagnosed HIV positive and how he sets out to seek unconventional medical treatment. The movie is rated R. This is a little early but I just want to mention that the KNEB Farm & Ranch Expo will be in Mitchell the weekend of Feb. 7 and 8. Well, I will finish up here and wish you all a great week, and until next time take care! Barb Cross ( Mrs. Rod ) at 436-7152, 641-1335, or [email protected]
