Accumulated snow in our region melted into water over the weekend showing signs of spring beneath the winter cover. That melting led to isolated flooding in several areas in Laramie County. Wyoming Department of Roads posted warning signs on roads in northern Laramie County, as fields looked more like ponds.
According to the Wyoming Emergency Management Agency, "The wet or saturated soil reduced the absorption rate. The excess water becomes runoff and rapidly flows wherever it can. Rapid snowmelt combined with saturated soil causes the flooding." Drivers should use caution as the water on road...
