Obituary: Naomi M Reed

Naomi M Reed, 92, of Pine Bluffs died March 20, 2014, at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. She was born Dec. 4, 1921, at home in rural Houston County, Minnesota, daughter of Frank and Martha (Schmidt) Huebner. She graduated from Houston High School then attended St. Francis School of Nursing in LaCrosse, Wis., graduating in 1945. She married Richard Reed on March 8, 1946 at South Ridge United Methodist Church where she was baptized and will be buried. She and Richard moved to Casper in 1950. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Casper then moved to Basin and Greybull area where she worked for Dr. Gregg, South Big Horn County Hospital, Bonnie Bluejacket Nursing Home and later for Dr. Stoetzel in Pine Bluffs.

Survivors include a sister, Ruth Kraft; a daughter Linda; a son, Robert and wife, Kathleen; grandson, Michael Reed and wife, Erin; granddaughter, Jennifer Lake and husband, Travis; and great-grandchildren, William, Brooklyn and Brody.

She was preceded in death by a son, David in 1952; her husband, Richard in 1998; her parents; four brothers , Vernon, Kenneth, Daniel and Hollis; and a sister, Lillian.

A memory service was held at the Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 3 pm. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery, South Ridge United Methodist Church, LaCrescent, Minn.
