Dr. Theresa Haas receives the Knight of the Blind Award for the Cheyenne Family Vision Clinic from the Wyoming Lions Foundation at Lions Club District 15 on April 19 in Saratoga. Presenting the award was Gary Roadifer, Treasurer and David Orr, Executive Director of the Foundation. The Cheyenne Family Vision Clinic was nominated by the Pine Bluffs Lions Club for its 25 years of working with the Lions Club for helping provide eye examines and/or eye glasses. Congratulation to Cheyenne Family Vision Clinic on a well deserved honor. You are truly a Knight for the blind.
The Pine Bluffs Lions Club will raise funds for sight preservation while having a good time and learning about the history of Pine Bluffs during the Historical Walk for Sight July 12.
The walk begins at 8 a.m. at the Texas Trail Museum, 201 W. Third Street, in Pine Bluffs. The walk will end with a lunch at 12:15 p.m. and a tour of the Walker House at 1 p.m.
A $25 registration fee will cover the cost of a t-shirt, a water bottle and a barbecue lunch. Sponsorship contributions will be used to fund Lions Sight Preservation projects.
