Significant Fire in Downtown Dubois

A significant structure fire started at about 8 p.m. Dec. 30, on the north side of the downtown business section of the town of Dubois. As of 10 a.m. Dec. 31 there was no identified cause of the fire.

There were no injuries reported due to the fire. Fire inspectors are assessing and evaluating the incident. At the time, eight businesses had been affected.

“Fire crews from Riverton, Ft. Washakie, Lander and Crowheart fought the fire through the night,” said Dubois Mayor Twile Blakeman. “At about 4 a.m. this morning (Thursday) it was under control.”
