Teaching Miss Malarkey

Jillian Balow, Wyoming State Superintendent of Public Education, was in Pine Bluffs last week to read to the fourth-grade students of Michelle McCormack. The superintendent chose one of her favorite books, Teaching Miss Malarkey, about a teacher who is more nervous about the upcoming Proficiency Assessment for Wyoming Students (PAWS) tests than her students, and the silly things she does. The book was meant to communicate to students to eat well, get plenty of rest, and not to worry about taking the tests.
