Even though streams in Wyoming are running very high from the spring snowmelt, it will not be long before the runoff subsides and good fishing conditions return. Currently most of the stream fishing taking place is on tailwater fisheries where flows are controlled from an upstream dam. Whether, the stream is free flowing or a tailwater fishery, public access to these waters is generally quite good due to numerous access easements available to anglers and boaters.
