Big Rain Monday

About five o'clock Monday afternoon it began raining gently and gradually increased until in about an hour it was pouring down sheets of water. This hard rain continued for a half an hour or more then it rained gently on into the night. It is not known just how much fell during this rain but it was an abundance for the present. All the ditches and low places were standing full of water yet Tuesday and the soil is soaked way down.
