Wahlert qualifies for the NHSRF

Pawnee High School sophomore Owen Wahlert of Grover, Co., will be making his first trip to the National High School Rodeo Finals in Rock Springsnext month. Wahlert will be competing in the tie-down roping after ending the regular season tied with Garrett Murphy of Torrington for second place, and behind Jhett Hadley of Wheatland. He will join long-time rodeo friends Justene Hirsig, Cheyenne, and Reata Beck, Albin, and the 52 other members of Team Wyoming to compete for a national title.
