Jeffres rushes for 3 TDs in loss

Hoping to ride the momentum of their victory last week, the Pine Bluffs Hornets hosted Lingle Ft. Laramie in their home opener on Friday. Despite scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter, the Hornets were unable to to topple the visiting team, falling 35-27.

Of the team’s performance, coach Will Gray said, “I thought we played a very physical game. We gave up too many big plays, but the kids competed and gave us everything they had.”
