Zonta art contest focuses on domestic violence

The Zonta Club of Cheyenne is sponsoring its second annual art contest. The theme of the contest is Perseverance and Hope: Survivors of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking.

All interested artists are invited to submit pieces no later than Dec. 29. Any medium may be used, including textiles, photographs, sketches, paintings, sculpture and carvings. Entries will be exhibited at the Hynds Building, 16th and Capitol Avenue, beginning Jan. 8, 2016.

Two prizes will be awarded. The first for the best art piece by an artist under the age of 18. The second to an artist 18 years of age or older.
