William "Bill" F. Filkins

William “Bill” F. Filkins, age 87, passed away May 16, 2016 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Cheyenne. Bill is survived by his sons: Jeb, Kurt and Brad Filkins, daughter-in-law Gail Filkins, grandchildren Abigail Nichols, Angela Brown (Michael), Allison Miller (Nate), Joshua Parent and Turner Filkins (Kaitlyn), great grandchildren Hannah Bryan (Seth), Brinna Nichols, Cheyanne Bohr, Sarah Bohr, Joshua Nichols, Kyson Miller, Kirk Daves, Emma Brown, Logan Nichols and unborn Grayson William Filkins due 9/15/16, and two great-great grandchildren Dakota and Clover Bryan and numerous realtives along the east coast.

He is proceeded in death by his one and only true love Joan Filkins, parents, William B and Margaret “Peg” Filkins, daughter Pam Mann and great grandson Jarrod Nichols. With the loss of Joan over 35 years ago, his undying love never failed. His family is comforted that they are finally together again.

William is a veteran of World War II, where he served the Army/Air Force in the German Theater as a Fly Boy. He was passionate about the American Civil War and politics.

Services were held last Saturday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne.
