Police make progress in theft case

Pine Bluffs police have identified two suspects in connection with the recent rash of burglaries, which involved the theft and subsequent recovery of firearms.

According to PBPD Chief Justin Trout, the department has two suspects and a warrant for their arrest will be issued this week. Trout said he hopes the suspects will be apprehended within the coming week.

Trout declined to name the suspects, pending an arrest.

He added that items stolen included one .223 rifle and an AK-47 rifle.

The thefts were possibly drug-related, Trout said.
