Despite suffering severe damage during last month’s hailstorm, schools in Pine Bluffs are expected to open on time. Officials also said the storm provided a chance to review emergency management policies.
“It is a chance to step back and reflect,” LCSD2 Superintendent Jon Abrams said during Monday’s meeting.
Facilities Director Kim Nelson said to expect to replace every roof on every school building in Pine Bluffs and that every vehicle was totaled in the July 27 storm.
Monetary damages have not yet been assessed, but insurance adjusters are in Pine this week to determine that.
