A blast from the past

Students from Pine Bluffs Elementary School took a break from the classroom last Monday to get a glimpse of the past as the steam locomotive Union Pacific 844 rolled into town on its way from Tennessee to Cheyenne. Built by the American Locomotive Company in December 1944, Engine 844 was the last steam locomotive to be delivered to the Union Pacific Railroad.
