Sherrie Lynn Lemley

Sherrie Lynn Lemley (Dwinell) passed away on November 29, 2016 in Aurora, CO due to multiple organ failure at Anschutz hospital. She was 62.

Sherrie was born on May 21, 1954 in Fort Morgan, CO to Melvin and Verla Klawonn. She was raised near Grover, CO on the family farm. She married and had three sons Ben, Anthony and Gene and lived mostly Rocky Ford, CO. She later married Dr. Steve Lemley, May 19, 2007 and resided in Colorado Springs, CO until her death.

Sherrie was a loving mother who loved to laugh and to help others. She was known to speak passionately about her three boys and of her grandkids. She enjoyed spending time and helping her family, friends and neighbors. She had a deep affinity for the mountains and loved eagles.

Sherrie is survived by her mother, Verla, her brothers Allen and Glen, her sisters Lavonna and Joyce, her three sons Ben, Anthony and Gene, Francisco "Kiko" Monarrez and her 10 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Steve.

Her memorial service will be December 17th at 1PM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs, CO. The family is grateful for the condolences and in lieu of flowers asks for donations sent to TESSA at http://www.tessacs.org/donate in Sherrie Lemley's honor.
