Margie I. Loveland

Margie I. Loveland passed away from natural causes on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Cheyenne WY, surrounded by her sons and their families. She was born December 24, 1927 in Edna, Kansas to Charles and Josie (Buress) Hill.

At an early age the family moved to Torrington, Wyoming where she attended school. On October 9, 1943, before he left for service during WWII, she married Donald V. Loveland in Torrington, WY. They were married for 71 years before his death in 2015. For the most part, Margie was a stay at home mom raising her six children. She loved to play cards, dancing and baking.

Retirement years were spent traveling and spending time at their cabin in Fox Park area south of Laramie, WY.

She is survived by sons Norman of Indiana, Roger (Nadine) of Cheyenne, Leslie (Debra) of Casper, Donnie (Stephanie) of Colorado and Brian (Cindy) of Burns; 16 grandchildren and 23 plus great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Charles Loveland of Colorado and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Linda Witt; one grandson and one great-grand son; brothers (Floyd Eugene Hill, Lester C. Hill, Alfred Leroy Hill, Floyd Gene “Dude” Hill) and sisters (Kathryn Harkins, Geneva “Beth” Helzer, Juanita May Carter, Anna Louise Hutchinson, Lillian Ellen Webb and Myrtle Hill as an infant).

Cremation has taken place and grave site services will be held this summer at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, Wyo. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
