Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Rieger

Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Rieger, peacefully entered heaven's gates on Monday, August 21, 2017. She was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on January 3, 1947.

Cindy and her family moved to Casper, Wyoming in 1982 and shortly thereafter she divorced. As a newly single mother determined to provide for her children, she sought work at the Casper Recreation Center and was employed for over 15 years. Cindy made life-long friends during her tenure and enjoyed her early morning shift helping customers, particularly one persistent gentlemen, Jerry.

Cindy married the love of her life, Jerome "Jerry" Rieger, in 1991. Together, they enjoyed long scenic drives, sailing on the local lakes, hot air balloon rides, spending time at the Rieger family cabin on Casper Mountain, and spending time with Jerry's sister, brothers and their families. During this time, Cindy was reunited with her mother and soon found out she also had a brother, Ray and sister, Diane "Sis". Cindy quickly built a relationship with her estranged family and upon Jerry's untimely death, moved back to Pennsylvania to develop those relationships further. She and her sister were two "peas in a pod" and fostered a relationship as if they grew up together. This move also gave Cindy the opportunity to spend treasured time with her best friend from 7th grade and the kids' Godparents, Yolanda Wunder and her husband, Al.

After spending a few years in Pennsylvania, Cindy relocated back to Wyoming settling in Pine Bluffs, a town conveniently located between all three children and where her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren resided. Cindy began work at the Visitors Center in Pine Bluffs where she met "boss" Diane who quickly became "friend" Diane, a relationship she cherished. Cindy's children are forever grateful for her friend Diane and husband, Bob, for helping care for their mother when she needed it most and adopting Cindy's best friend, her Chihuahua, George.

Cindy enjoyed traveling, including a more memorable trip to Maui with her extended family in Casper, and to the Florida Keys with her "Sis" and family. Cindy loved spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed time with her four grandchildren, attending their musical performances and numerous sport activities with pride and enthusiasm.

Cindy is survived by her sister, Diane Millard of Birdsboro, PA; her son, Steve (Cindy) Loose of Saratoga, WY; her son, Kyle (Lisa) Loose of Casper, WY; her daughter, Dawn (Stew) Lanning of Pine Bluffs, WY; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Edward Fleischood; mother, Geraldine Brennan; and brother, Ray Brennan.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Crossroads Community Church in Pine Bluffs with Pastor Daniel R. DeBruyn officiating. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Davis Hospice Center.
