Serving all of Eastern Laramie County since 1908

Hornets Inc.

With budget cuts on the rise throughout the state, the teachers and administrators in Pine Bluffs have come up with a plan to keep the elective classes from being hit too hard. Students and staff are in the process of jump-starting a new business called Hornet Inc. The business will allow the community to personalize and order shirts, etched mugs, plasma cut signs, cater events, and even change the oil in their car.

Students who are working for the company are able to use their hours towards building a scholarship. Although the scholarship is a great opportunity, Kayla Thurin is mostly in it for the experience.

"I like the feeling of helping people get their products and being a part of something," said Thurin.

Todd Sweeter described the business as a coming together of elective classes to produce Hornet Inc. products..

"Hornet Inc. will have merchandise to sell to the community instead of relying only on fundraising events," Sweeter explained.

Hornet Inc. will be presenting some of their products during the homecoming game on Friday, October 13th with a silent auction. Prostart students will be catering the event. Sloppy Joes, salad, brownies, chips, and a drink will be available for only $5.00. See you there.
