Quarter Store invites Pine Bluffs Children

The doors are soon to open to The Quarter Store, at 6th Street and Chestnut, Kimball, NE. It is open for Pine Bluffs residents as well. Organized by Jeanne Laboray and the Calvary United Methodist Women of Bushnell, NE. (this years co-organizers), you can pick up items for gifts at "only" 25 cents a piece. This is the 11th year that this has been going on. Laboray was the original organizer of this store from a vision that she had. Stepping down for a couple years, but due to the moving of last years organizer, Laboray has taken back over. Laboray would like to see the same operation in Pine Bluffs next year. Donations are accepted all year round for this wonderful operation, but work begins the first week in November setting up the store. The space this year is being provided by St Hilda's Episcopal Church with the help from Calvary United Methodist Women, who are running the store this year.

Opening night is November 25, for two hours after the "Parade of Lights". For the first two weeks the store is open to newborns to 12 grade children, then after that it is open to anyone that has a need.

The items for purchase are donated by people in the community as well as local store. Daily door prizes are available by signing up for them. The proceeds, are given back to the community by Local Missions for Local missions, which helps in a number of different 'difficulties" for the local residents.

Although the store is only open to school age and younger children until December 12, if you would like to donate or just check it out it would be available from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday.
