Wyoming State Lands and Investments held first meeting

The Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI) held its first oil and gas lease auction for 2018 on March 7, 2018 on behalf of the Wyoming Board of Land Commissioners – which is made up of the five statewide elected officials. The auction was open for one week and attracted ninety-six bidders. OSLI offered 210 parcels of State Trust Land for lease covering over 85,003 acres across fifteen counties. The auction resulted in 169 of the 210 parcels receiving successful bids to lease 68,616.56 acres. The auction grossed $2,740,141.36 for the benefit of the State’s trust beneficiaries.
