Town will assess swimming pool fees this summer
Operating a swimming pool is expensive.
As an example, Pine Bluffs pays about $60,000 each year to operate its swimming pool, which is only open three months out of the year.
That’s why council members voted Monday to assess fees at the swimming pool this summer.
It will cost $1.50 to visit the swimming pool this summer.
“A pop costs a dollar,” Council Member Donn Randall said. “We’re squabbling over a dollar.”
In addition to $1.50 being nominal, Randall said the future fees will encourage people using the swimming pool to “have some skin in the game.”
“Nothing in life is free,” Randall said....
