Youth rodeo returns to Pine Bluffs Trail Days

Though the registration deadline to enter the Texas Trail Days Youth Rodeo has passed, there’s no reason to not stop by and watch some classic events.

This year’s rodeo looks to feature mutton bustin for children ages 5 and under.

Mutton Bustin is like bull riding but for younger crowds. Children compete to see who can hang on to a bucking sheep.

Kids ages 6-10 will have the chance to enter calf riding. It’s similar to mutton bustin but with calves.

Junior events, (ages 13 and under) include steer riding, boys and girls goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping, pole bending and barrel racing....
