Former Pine Bluffs High School distance-running standout Alejandro Garcia put on a familiar show Saturday, Aug. 4 as he won the 17th annual Longhorn Stampede 5K.
It wasn’t close as he finished with a time of 15:20.
That’s less than a 5-minute mile.
Fifty-one competitors turned out to compete in the early-morning run which took place in Pine Bluffs. Participants were from Pine Bluffs, Burns, Cheyenne and Hillsdale. The youngest compitor was 6-years-old and the oldest was 66.
