Pine Bluffs-Burns runners compete in Cheyenne

The 2018 cross country season is quickly winding down for the Burns-Pine Bluffs High School teams and they took one step closer to the final meets of the year Friday in Cheyenne.

“Cheyenne is a great ‘home’ meet for us, but it was tough,” said head coach Ashley Rousseau of the meet which featured frigid temperatures and rainy weather. “We were hoping for better times this week, but the weather was against us, freezing our runners and cramping muscles.”

For the varsity girls squad, Piper Perez came in 12th with a time of 20:52.
