Pine Bluffs has history of WWII POW Camp

Cheryl O'Brien has a passion for history. She and her husband travel all over Wyoming in a search for information about the World War II POW camps that were here in our great state. Pine Bluffs was home to one of those branch camps. Pine Bluffs POW camp opened in 1943, and was one of the earliest camps to open in the states.

In late 1945 early 1946 all camps were closed, and by March of 1946 prisoners had been sent back to Europe.
