Two submit nominations for Burns empty council seat

The Burns town council closed out Monday’s meeting with a seat still vacant for a new council member. Two possibilities were submitted with tie votes causing a dead nomination for both. It is unsure at this time whether or not council will continue to take applications for a new member, or if they will have to hold a special election to fill the seat. The issue was tabled at this time pending further discussion amongst the council.
