LCFD #5 at Wildland Academy Training

Members of Laramie County Fire District 5 recently completed a variety of training this past weekend. Assistant Chief Karl Zerck spent 4 days in training at the Southeast Wildland Academy in Cheyenne. He received training and certifications for Wildland Crew Boss and Wildland Engine Boss. Chief Derek Walls spent 2 days in training receiving a certificate for his Wildland Firefighter Type 1 certification. On Sunday 10 members from the department spent their afternoon going through training on victim rescue, ladders and SCBA basics. All added up members totaled almost 100 hours of training for the weekend.
