Albin Elementary holds special Dr. Seuss read day

March 2nd was National Read Across America Day. It was adopted as such due to the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, also known as Dr. Suess who was born in 1904 at Springfield, MA. Albin Elementary was recognizing this day, not only by reading but it was to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday.

Dr. Seuss published his first children's book 'And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street in 1937. After World War II he went back to writing children's books with a first of 'If I Ran the Zoo' in 1950. The author Theodor Seuss Geisel published over 60 books during his career.
