Hornets Coach Gray and Lady Broncs Coach McKinney Coaches of the Year!

Our little corner of the state has produced some amazing athletes and teams this past year. The Pine Bluffs Boys Varsity Basketball team is the state champs in their division for the 2021-22 season. The Burns Broncs Girls Volleyball team is the state champs in the 2A division, and the Pine Bluffs Varsity football team is the undefeated state champs. Many of the athletes have won Conference and State recognition for being the best in their arena.

All of these accolades are earned and well deserved. But none of them would be possible without the guidance and direction of the coaches. These individuals train, watch over, instruct and guide these athletes as to how to play the game correctly, how to train for the sport, sportsmanship and a host of other attributes that our young athletes need to grow in the sport and as young adults.

The Wyoming Coaches Association has announced their selection for Coach of the Year for the fall sports program. Pine Bluffs football coach Will Gray has been named as the Wyoming Coach of the Year for the 1A-9 man conference. The Hornets are the state champions and went undefeated for the season.

The Wyoming Coaches Association also recognized Coach Anndee McKinney as the Wyoming Coach of the Year in Volleyball 2A division. Coach McKinney is the head coach of the State Champion Burns Lady Broncs varsity volleyball team.

Coach Gray and Coach McKinney will be honored at the WCA Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet in Casper next July. It will be in the Ramkota Hotel in Casper.

Congratulations to both coaches and their teams.
