April was National Poetry Month, and the Laramie County libraries jumped into the rhyme or no rhyme written word with holding a local poetry contest at the Burns and Pine Bluffs libraries.
One could enter by submitting a copy of your original poem with your name, age, and phone number to [email protected] or by dropping it off at the Burns Branch Library by Thursday, April 27.
This was not just an open contest, but a contest for all ages. The categories were grouped by age: grades K–2, grades 3–5, grades 6–8, grades 9–12, and adults. The judging would be held locally and all poems would be...
