134 Fire Follow-up

Cheyenne, WY – March 17, 2024 at approximately 4:35 PM, LCFA responded to a wildland fire, started when a gas flare ignited, off County Road 134. The fire was extinguished by 5:52 p.m. Crews put out hot spots and cleared scene at 7:45 p.m.

“The winds and dry conditions contributed to the fast spread along with difficult terrain and access.” Deputy Fire Chief Manny Muzquiz, LCFA. The 134 Fire burned 125 acres of grassland. There were no homes or structures damaged.
