Over 44 million people in the United States face hunger, that includes one in five children. But the United States Post Office letter carriers understand people need food to survive on a daily basis. People do not eat only at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The United States Post Office branches in Albin and Pine Bluffs are participating in the Nationwide Stamp Out Hunger. It is an annual food drive that the Post office workers help with. It happens the second Saturday in May. This year the date is May 11, 2024.
