In the U.S. Senate race John Barrasso was challenged by candidate Reid Rasner and John Holtz on the Republican side. On the Democrat side of the race Scott D. Morrow received 7,634 votes he was running unopposed, but there were 65 write ins. There has been much talk about this race, and predictions are that Barrasso stays in office.
