Local Youth Finds Gold!

Brady McKinney, a fifth grader at Burns Elementary School found gold at the Pine Bluffs Trail Days Junior Rodeo On Saturday, August 3. McKinney won the gold belt buckle in the junior breakaway event. McKinney has been competing for the past three years and is very good at it. He competes in the breakaway, team roping, and goat tying events. He started breakaway about three years ago. McKinney's dad, Chad McKinney got him started in rodeo about three to four years ago. He says, "Dad does team roping and that's what got me interested."
