The Pony Express was the premium way to get ones mail back in the day. Mail has always been important to the world for decades. It is how people communicated for years with loved ones. A letter telling a person how the family is doing was a relief to others. It was how a person got to know each other as friends and sometimes possibly a husband or wife. Later it helped businesses, too.
Now days there is less hand written letters. The art is slowly being lost. However, in Burns, the Post Offices' old building was given a much needed face lift to reassure people they are still in the community.
