Another Perfect Night for Roping

The Pine Bluffs Roping Club must have made some kind of agreement with Mother Nature, as last Friday was another perfect night for roping. The temperature was not hot, no wind or rain and the arena was a bit dusty but great for roping. It was Burns homecoming and maybe some of the normal contestants might have been a bit pre-occupied. Still there were 15 ropers that showed up to test their skills. They were divided into 45 teams.

As the teams each chased after the bovine target it was evident that this was going to be a long evening. Over half of the field made it through to the second round....
