Pine Bluffs Student Heading to State in Swimming

Kaitlynn Schnell, a junior at Pine Bluffs High School, swims for the Cheyenne South swimming team. Schnell, who swims the 50m and 100-yard freestyle took first place in both races qualifying herself for the state tournament this weekend.

Pine Bluffs High School does not have the facilities for a swim team so Schnell travels into Cheyenne to compete with the Cheyenne South Bison swim team. Schnell finished the 50m-freestyle in 27.78 seconds for the gold medal. She then competed in the 100-yard freestyle and finished in 1min 3 seconds for another gold medal.
